I have to concur with the previous reviewer. I wanted to like this play and be moved by its message. Sadly, I couldn't get past the 3 serious flaws. 1. To start off the play, we were subjected to a mini concert. The tunes were okay (except the antiquated synthesizer sounds) but they just dragged on and on and on. The dialogue that tried desperately to act as a segue way between the songs was truly cringe-worthy. I couldn't help but glance at my program during the ordeal and notice that the writer, director, actor, and songwriter were all the same guy! Humility, anyone? 2. The acting was spotty...at best. While there were a few disjointed comedic moments, I didn't laugh or cry or feel affected like the poster and radio ads promised. The characters were entirely unauthentic. The main "protagonist" demonstrated zero regard for the fact that his life was on the line, mocking and taunting the gunman. 3. PLOT HOLES. Again, I bring up the posters and radio ads. Both said something about proving the existence of God. Didn't happen. Not even close. In my opinion, they could have tried, but they abandoned that endeavour after about 90 seconds in favour of more sing songs and stories about marriage. What the...? The confusing end of the play came none too quickly. I left the building entirely disillusioned and somewhat frustrated. As the previous reviewer implied, please don't judge Christians or Christian entertainment based on this show.

As a Christian, I wanted to love this play. But Jesus should be represented with excellence (because God is awesome), and this play was anything but. The acting was terrible, the plot paper-thin, and the music reminiscent of the early 90s. If you think God and church are boring, then please don't see this play. It will only strengthen your opinion.
